Students learning from PVL’s CEO

PVL’s CEO, Nick Broom has been sharing his business acumen with students at Horsham’s College of Richard Collyer.

A new and uniquely designed Employability Programme at Collyer’s College has been set up to help students into the world of work with the help of taught sessions, workshops, trips and a host of inspiring sessions.

Nick Broom was invited along to the college to answer questions about the importance of people skills, turning creative ideas into action, working abroad and having an entrepreneurial aptitude for creating business opportunities.

PVL, based locally to the college in Burgess Hill, have been saving lives on the roads since 1999. Nick Broom started the company and it has since become one of the UK’s leading companies creating high visibility markings for emergency service, highways and security vehicles.

Lucy Hargreaves, Employability Programme Co-Ordinator said,

“It was incredibly kind of Nick to give up so much of his valuable time to prepare for, and take part in, the Q&A session. He’s very supportive of the new programme at Collyer’s and is genuinely passionate about helping the next generation.”

Nick said, “I thoroughly enjoyed myself and really hope the students were able to pick some useful nuggets from my ramblings! The Employability class are an excellent group, and the teachers have an incredible energy and drive, and even more importantly, a connection with the group. I think it is an excellent initiative!”
