New Striking Mini for Ambulance Mini Medics

Ambulance Mini Medics is a new initiative from the Training Department of the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), which aims to provide 9-11 year old children across the North East an understanding of basic life support, defibrillation and first aid.

Through a series of regular events,  NEAS Paramedics will visit local primary schools and community organisations to provide training sessions and offer insights into their working day. They also explain important messages like the consequences of hoax 999/111 calls.

To support the significant travel requirements, Mini Cooper Sunderland has provided Ambulance Mini Medics with a brand new Mini Clubman Cooper. Co-ordinating with Ambulance convertor WAS, PVL UK supported the project, with specialist materials from Lakeside Group designing, manufacturing and fitting the striking and highly reflective livery for the Mini. The chosen design draws its influence from traditional ambulance livery but presented in a very different way and comprises over 250 individual interlocking parts!

Nick Broom, CEO of PVL UK, explained: “We are delighted to support Ambulance Mini Medics with this important work, which will provide children with key life skills in first aid and an early introduction to career paths in emergency healthcare. Our high-visibility livery design is intentionally very eye-catching, which will make the Mini easy to spot on the road and help promote Ambulance Mini Medic’s work at all times.”

The Mini is out and about on its travels and we wish the project every success in its important work. You can keep in touch with Ambulance Mini Medics through Facebook (@AmbulanceMiniMedics) or Twitter (@MiniMedics_NEAS) social media channels.
