PVL Help Community First Responders
The Client and the Project
PVL have recently completed 3 kits for a South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) Community First Responder (CFR) groups, in Slough, Prestwood and Winslow.
CFR’s are volunteers, trained by the Ambulance service, who respond to 999 calls to help their community before the arrival of an Emergency Ambulance. As such they provide lifesaving services and need to be visible in their work.
What we did
Due to our work with various NHS trusts in supplying livery we were contacted by FIAT and SCAS to ensure that the vehicles were marked up correctly and offering the same high visibility as an NHS unit. PVL also offered special rates for the project due to its volunteer status.
PVL UK supplied and installed the livery at FIAT Southampton under a short time frame to ensure that the group were not without transportation.
Marc Lister, SCAS Community Liaison & Training Manager, for South Bucks and East Berks, said “Our CFR’s have worked extremely hard to raise the funds, from their local communities, to enable the purchase of these new Fiat Responders Cars. The capability of the vehicle and the visibility of the graphics, supplied by PVL, will allow our volunteers to respond safely and will create a visible presence in their communities”.
Will Clarke from PVL UK said “it’s always great to support groups like this. Its inspirational how people give up their time to help the local community”
