#TeamPVL Profile: A quick introduction
Believe it or not, Dan started working at PVL in our production department collating kits, and now he is the one installing them as our fitting manager! He has been at PVL for over 10 years now and is showing no signs of slowing down with his career growth.
Today, he leads our fitting team through all projects, all the while enjoying some good tunes in the wrap bay.
What's your role here?
I am the fitting manager here at PVL. This means I delegate work to my fellow fitting colleagues as well as take the lead on wrap projects.
What excites you most about days here at PVL?
Getting more wraps to work in our wrap bay. Knowing that I am in a nice space where I can enjoy some good tunes, relaxed and doing what I love.
What's one project or achievement you're particularly proud of here?
Becoming a 3M endorsed installer! It was always a dream of mine to reach accredited status, and I was so pleased to achieve this for myself and the whole team at PVL. Also, having my full circle moment at Goodwood 2025, from an attendee in 2017 to an exhibitor alongside 3M and Ford.
If you could have dinner with ANY person (alive or dead), who would it be and why?
Travis Pastrana. He is an extreme athlete known for doing rallies, bungee jumping and travelling the world doing the maddest things, but what I love most about him is that he will put his soul and focus on one thing, and he won’t stop until he has got it, then moves on to the next thing. I have that in common with him, so to have dinner with him to get a better understanding of his mindset and take some advice into my life AND see if I can wrap one of his things!
What’s your background in the industry?
I have been at PVL for 10 years, starting in the production department. Before that, during college, I trained as a chef while studying carpentry and joinery. When I joined PVL and saw what the fitters were doing, I realised it was no different from what I already liked: I’ve always enjoyed creating things with my hands.
What's the biggest misconception people have about this industry?
People think that it is easy and just stickers, but there is an art to what we do every day. It’s an art, and there are techniques for making kits/graphics last, installing them, plus, not all installers have the same skillset. Not every vehicle wrapper has the expertise for ESV installation, and vice versa. So being good at both is massively unrated.
What has surprised you most about PVL so far?
How far can you grow your career here at PVL! Especially for me! From someone who was in production, to now travelling around the world installing our kits. From the management skills that I am learning, and the career growth, along with a better understanding of business goals. I believe that we can be the biggest vehicle graphics company in the world, and to be a part of it is quite exciting!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am passionate about cooking and music. My best dish that I get complimented on is my Sticky Pork Belly with Rice.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Travel for free, because most places I want to go are expensive. I could probably cook or get cheap food. I would much rather pay a fiver for street food and then go to places like Nashville. This is my DREAM holiday, and I will be visiting one day.
Always moving onto the next job! Follow along to catch the latest projects coming out of the wrap bay! Let’s connect!
