#TeamPVL Profile: A quick introduction
It’s time to meet Taylor! He joined our team just over a year ago, but we can’t imagine work without him. We even celebrated a huge milestone birthday with him this year. Care to guess how old he is?
What excites your most days here at PVL?
People’s birthday are quite fun! Because people bring in cakes to the office. If it not that then it the new projects and opportunity that we get coming in the business from different sectors.
No day is the same, which helps keep you on your toes.
What's your background in the industry?
I use to work in the motor industry Car Buying specifically, I had a large team & multiple sites to contend with, so I was already had a strong background with vehicles, but it’s crazy how much I didn’t know until starting here.
What is something you have learned here that made you have an “AHA” moment?
I mean I learn something new everyday. So I have one of those moments everyday!
What is the biggest misconception people have about vehicle livery/this industry?
That people think that it is just stickers but the amount of time and skills from our internal teams to create the kits and fit a certain way that ensures longevity and maximum reflectivity. It really is a team effort because this stuff doesn’t happen overnight! There is a lot of hard work & dedication from all the teams within PVL.
If you could swap jobs with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
To be honest I wouldn’t swap my role! I think its great interacting with all of our different customers, from various different sectors. We have an amazing client base.
If you could have dinner with any person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? -
Post Malone because he like the coolest and chilliest guy and it would be a meal with whiskeys beers and steaks.
What is one project/achievement your particularly proud of here?
What we did for North Yorkshire police, upgrading their livery spec to have maximum coverage and being able to work with some international client, more notably my work with a local converter in Singapore who approached us to give their current livery spec an upgrade, adding more reflectivity!
What has surprised you most about PVL?
The knowledge within the business. Being around a lot of dedicated people making sure we are getting it right and everything out the door. We don’t settle for ‘ok’, we are always looking for ways to improve and advise our customer base with safety on the road at the forefront of what we do.
